The Roy Brown Society is dedicated to researching, perserving, and telling the story of Captain A. Roy Brown who has been given credit for shooting down the Red Baron in WWI.  The Moore House in downtown Carleton Place located at 170 Bridge Street is the home of the  Carleton Place Chamber of Commerce.  At the Chamber office they have an exhibt dedicated to Captain Roy Brown as well as a gift shop.  The Carleton Place and Beckwith Museum located at 267 Edmund Street in Carleton Place has further vintage pictures and stories on the life of Roy Brown.
